We are a small company with an emphasis on high quality tree work. At Blean Tree Care we are so proud of the standard of work that we carry out.We believe there is no comparison between us and the majority of our rivals making us one of the leading tree surgery companies in Kent.
We are not just chainsaw armed tree cutters out to make some money. We are tree lovers who strive to bring the best from each individual tree. All of our work is carried out with the conservation of the environment in our mind.
As a tree surgeon in Kent, our reputation and expertise have been continually growing since our company was established in 2003. We offer a whole range of tree services which we can provide to both domestic and commercial clients. We are happy to provide one off services covering all aspects of tree surgery from planting new trees to the removal/felling of a problem tree. We can also use our expertise to carry out a tree condition report or establish a contract for regular pruning ensuring that your trees are cared for and kept safe. Some trees may need terravention to restore vitality. Our testimonials page is evidence of our commitment to high quality tree work, attention to detail and customer satisfaction through the years.
Why Choose us?
All of our climbers are highly trained and have attended Merrist Wood college attaining a City and Guilds in Tree Surgery as a foundation qualification. This means that not only do they have the relevant NPTC chainsaw and climbing qualifications but they also understand the biology of trees and fully understand when, how and where to work on them.
Once they complete college they become a trainee climber within our company and are subjected to a further 4-5 years as an understudy to an experienced climber. This gives all of our climbers a wealth of knowledge and experience which in our opinion puts them head and shoulders above our competition when it comes to quality tree work.
We don’t believe in resting on our laurels either with continuous training and staff progression high on our agenda. Scroll down this page to see a list of courses attended by our staff recently which keeps us at the cutting edge of knowledge within our industry.
When employing a tree surgeon in Kent you should always check for relevant qualifications particularly of the person inspecting your tree and making recommendations. This is to ensure that your trees’ and property are in safe and knowledgeable hands. Having a chainsaw license does not qualify someone to make recommendations about the health or safety of your tree.
Unlike some tree surgery companies we do not believe that simply having a chainsaw license makes you a competent climber/arborist. We are committed to continuous training and recently members of our team have attended and passed the following courses:
- Bats and Arboriculture
- Bats and Bat Surveys foundation course
- IPAF certificate for MEWPs
- First Aid immediate responder
- LANTRA safe use of wood chippers
- Royal Forestry Society certificate (level 2)
- NPTC Application of Pesticides
- Surveying Trees for Bats
- NPTC Unit 41 Rigging & Dismantling
- NPTC Unit 39 Chainsaw in a Rope&Harness
- NPTC Unit 38 Aerial Rescue
We undertake work for the local council as well as several housing associations. We are proud to have highly trained and skilful staff, which means we offer a safe and reliable service. With our wealth of experience and our emphasis on safety and customer service, we believe our company is a cut above the rest.
We provide a full and comprehensive arborist service with over 30 years of collective experience through day to day climbing operations and management. All aspects of tree work are carefully undertaken covering everything from planting and pruning to dismantling and felling. We treat each aspect of our service with equal professionalism and care, from meeting customers for the first time, to completing the work and finally clearing the site so that you wouldn’t know we’d been there.
If you need a tree surgeon in Kent a phone call to us will lead to a free site visit, advice, if necessary a climbing inspection and a fixed price written quotation.
Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
These regulations mean that a tree surgery company must carry out regular inspections of equipment used for both climbing and rigging to ensure that they are safe and fit for purpose. The inspections are carried out and recorded weekly by qualified climbers (on their own personal climbing kit) . Every six months the equipment has to be inspected independently by a “competent person” who has passed the relevant LOLER examiner course.
You should be aware that if you employ a contractor who is not complying with these regulations and they have an accident causing damage or death on your property then you could potentially find yourself liable. At the very least their insurance would be void. Any reputable tree surgery company will be happy to provide you with further information to prove to you that they are loler compliant.
